We are pleased to announce that the 2nd Stakeholder Forum, organized as an activity of the AIDA4Edge project and themed “Edge AI across Application Domains” was successfully held on July 9, 2026. The event took place in a hybrid format (in-person in Room 155 at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, and online), bringing together our valued stakeholders and project team members.
With 17 participants attending in person and 21 joining online, the event provided an exceptional platform for an in-depth and highly constructive discussion on the expanding role of artificial intelligence at the edge.

The forum’s agenda featured insightful presentations from esteemed international and regional experts, showcasing diverse practical applications of Edge AI:
- Prof. Theocharis Theocharides (University of Cyprus) opened the sessions by discussing low-power robotic vision at the edge for emergency operations.
- Dr. Marko Milivojčević(The Academy of Applied Studies Polytechnic, Belgrade) explored smart traffic monitoring through privacy-preserving acoustic classification.
- Mihajlo Milovanović and Toplica Jakimov(Beehold company Niš) presented on bringing Edge AI to precision agriculture via the acoustic monitoring of honey bees.
- Assist. Prof. Đorđe Damnjanović and Assistant Dejan Vujičić (Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak) demonstrated an Edge AI system designed for real-time speech command recognition.
- Dr. Vladimir Despotović (Luxembourg Institute of Health) concluded the presentations with an exploration of multimodal digital biomarkers for asthma.

The discussions following the presentations yielded valuable insights into the current challenges and transformative potential of these technologies across various domains. The high caliber of this exchange of ideas underscored the importance of continuous collaboration between academia and industry in driving innovation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all speakers and attendees for their time, active participation, and expert contributions, all of which made this forum a significant success. We look forward to building upon these fruitful interactions as we continue to advance the strategic objectives of the AIDA4Edge project.
