Research Data Management Webinar

On Tuesday, 23 June 2026, the University of Manchester organized a hybrid webinar titled “Research Data Management”, delivered by Ms Clare Liggins from the Office for Open Research. The event attracted international interest, with more than 50 participants joining online, highlighting the growing importance of effective research data management within the research community.

Members of our team were pleased to participate in this webinar remotely. The session provided valuable insights into best practices for managing research data throughout the entire research lifecycle, from planning and documentation to secure storage, sharing, and long-term preservation. It also emphasized the importance of research integrity, reproducibility, and the FAIR principles for making research data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.

Participation in events such as this provides an excellent opportunity for the continuous improvement of our research data management practices. By adopting internationally recognized approaches to research data management, we strengthen the quality, transparency, reproducibility, and long-term impact of our research activities while supporting the principles of open science.
