Last week, the IEEE MIEL 2025 Conference was held at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, Serbia. Within this event, the AIDA4Edge project organized a Special Session on “Hardware and Software Solutions for Edge AI Applications” on Thursday, October 16th. https://miel.elfak.ni.ac.rs/SpecialSession
The special session featured 14 insightful and topical presentations covering various aspects of AI at the edge. These included the presentation of the editorial paper entitled AIDA4Edge Project’s Special Session on Hardware and Software Solutions for Edge AI Applications, as well as talks on neural network quantization, ANN adaptation strategies, digital multiplier architectures for neural network accelerator implementations, hardware–software co-design, federated learning, spiking neural network models, and explainable AI for edge computing platforms.
