AIDA4Edge Project Presented to Students from the IEEE Student Branch of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at MIEL Conference

During the MIEL Conference held at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, a dedicated session was organized to introduce the AIDA4Edge project to visiting students from the IEEE Student Branch of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The project coordinator, Prof. Jelena Nikolić, delivered a presentation outlining the project’s main ideas, objectives, consortium members, and the ongoing research activities within AIDA4Edge.

The presentation was followed by an engaging discussion with the students, who showed great interest in the project topics and asked many insightful questions about the research challenges and potential applications.

This event provided an excellent opportunity to promote the goals of AIDA4Edge and to inspire young researchers to explore the exciting field of hybrid neural networks, aiming to combine the advantages of both spiking and artificial neural networks and to develop AI pipelines suitable for deployment on edge devices.

The event also highlighted the importance of Horizon Europe Twinning projects in strengthening research excellence, fostering international collaboration, and supporting the integration of research communities into the wider European Research Area.
